Fur Corporate Outreach Manager, Wildlife Protection
PJ has been the corporate outreach manager for The HSUS’ Fur-Free Campaign for five years, during which time he has worked with international and domestic brands and retailers–including TJX, Zara, Gucci, and Nordstrom–to develop fur policies, and continues to find to ways to use shareholder advocacy to bring attention to the animal cruelty and false advertising and labeling associated with the fur trade. The Fur-Free Campaign worked to pass the federal Truth in Fur Labeling Act of 2010, revealed domestic dog fur apparel being sold in New York in 2011-12, and continues to investigate and uncover major retailers selling animal fur as “faux”.

PJ, a born vegetarian who has always been passionate about animal protection, previously could have been seen on Broadway as a young lad in Les Misérables, attended college at Kent State University, and later went on to receive his Master’s degree in Communications from the University of Akron. He currently resides in Chevy Chase, MD.
