Philip Lymbery

Philip Lymbery is Chief Executive of leading international farm animal welfare organisation, Compassion in World Farming, and author of Farmageddon: The true cost of cheap meat, recently published by Bloomsbury. Written with Sunday Times political editor, Isabel Oakeshott. Farmageddon is described as an “unusually punchy and fast-paced” enviro-shocker.  Philip was Compassion’s campaigns director throughout the 1990s, a period of extraordinary success, including EU-wide bans on veal crates, and battery cages. A life-long wildlife enthusiast, Philip has led professional tours to far-flung places across the world. He lives in rural Hampshire, England with wife, stepson, rescue dog Duke, and adopted chickens.
