Coordinate grassroots level outreach nationwide for the Puppy Mills Campaign.  This includes efforts to increase the number of qualified pet stores in our Puppy Friendly Pet Stores program and help convert stores into more humane models where they offer adoptable shelter pups instead of selling commercially-raised puppies; act as primary liaison for local groups and activists; set mutually beneficial goals with groups that have an overlapping interest in fighting puppy mills; spearhead efforts to work collaboratively with various non-profit groups, breed advocacy organizations (including our Breeders Advisory and Resource Council=BARC), industry organizations and local agencies to confront issues related to puppy mills.
